We have been told that dogs are not allowed anywhere on Santa Rosa Island. But, that is not really true. The Island has two dog beaches located at lots 21E and 28B.
We did not know what to expect from the dog beach, so we waited until the last morning to try it out. The rest of our family went to the ‘people’ beach, and my husband, Joe, and I went to the dog beach at lot 21E. It was really nice. I wish the entire family has joined us. There were no fences, just posted signs, limiting where dogs could be. But, the beach was ample big enough and uncrowded. People and pets on leashes enjoyed the surf together. I wish we had gone there every day. But, I am thankful for the day we had.
The waves are so much fun!
